Community Services/Outreach

Blue Ridge Community Health Services was initiated more than 40 years ago as a seasonal clinic, providing health services to the migrant population in Henderson County. The Outreach program remains a vital component of our community health delivery system. Our Outreach program facilitates access to preventative, acute, and chronic care medical services and dental care. The program also makes available resources and education materials on health and related human service information. The program also assists individuals by matching available community services to individual needs as well as coordinating transportation and translation services.

The Apple Valley Middle School Health Center is the only school-based comprehensive adolescent health care program in Henderson County. The health center provides services including complete physical exams, sports physicals, treatment of acute and minor illness, injuries, chronic conditions, and immunizations. The Center also provides students access to nutritional counseling, mental health counseling, and health education resources.
