One of the unique features of  a community health center is the composition of its Board of Directors.  A minimum of 51% of the board members must be patients of BRCHS. Their experiences as patients give them greater insight into BRCHS operations and allow them to become effective advocates for improvements in health center services, as well as for new programs and services that address the health care needs of their communities.

 The rest of the directors are individuals who either live, work or have an interest in our community. Like the health center members, they bring a wide range of expertise, skills and interests to the work of the Board, and are committed to improving health care services, assuring access to quality, affordable health care for all and improving the health status of individuals and families.
